Advance

Friday, July 20th, 2007

Our staff just returned from our second annual staff advance (not retreat… I hate the word retreat… the church never retreats). A lot of people want to know how our workaholic staff survives for that long without cell signal or Wi-Fi.
A lot of people also want to know what exactly the staff does for 2 [...]

You won’t be judged on what you did…

Thursday, July 19th, 2007

… You’ll be judged on what you were called to do.
I heard a preacher say this recently, and it blessed me.

Does anybody think you’re crazy?

Friday, July 13th, 2007

I read these two verses last night. Obviously I had read them before because they were underlined in my old Scofield preaching Bible, which I reluctantly retired a few months ago because an average of 3 pages were falling out every time I preached.
But they were so fresh to me last night that I had [...]

Confessions of a Pastor’s Wife

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

Since our series is getting a darn good response, and since my wife is a darn good writer, I thought I’d let her take a shot at a confession of her own.
I told her she could write anything she wanted. Uh oh.
