Well, I’ve never ever promoted anything for anybody on this blog, and I’ve been going strong for 5 months now.

But this demanded a post.
Allow me to brag on my friends.

NewSpring Church has been the mentor church for Elevation. You may think I’m exaggerating the impact these guys have had on us, but that would be impossible to do. Watching what God has done in Anderson, SC through a bunch of fired up rednecks (keepin’ it real!) has inspired our staff to trust God for the insane.
We would not be anywhere near where we are as a church without the example and wisdom of NewSpring.
That’s a fact.

And they’ll be holding their first ever conference for pastors and church leaders on March 15. You need to go.

You can read all the details on the site, or on Perry’s blog, so I won’t regurgitate them here.

But I do need to give you some insider information. I was in the senior management team meeting when they were trying to figure out how much to charge for the conference. And I thought they were taking crazy pills when they came up with the final price:
$45.
I kind of thought, “What, does that just cover the snacks and there’s a separate registration fee?”
Nope.

Here’s what Perry told his staff about it. I heard it for myself:
“I remember the days when we were flat broke, and I couldn’t afford jack. This thing is all about blessing pastors and their staffs. I don’t care if we don’t make a dime. We’ve got to set it up where everybody-and I mean everybody-can come.”

It doesn’t get more genuine that that.

I’ll also add that when Perry teaches on leadership, he gets to a level of practicality that I’ve never witnessed from any other leader. He says the last 10%. The helpful stuff. The stuff you really want to know but are scared to ask.

So load the wagons boys and girls.
