We had our 2nd Elevation ManUp breakfast this morning. It was great. God is really bringing some great men to Elevation. They are smart, godly, loyal, generous, hard working, and sold out to the vision of Elevation.
It’s so great to lead a church where the men support, believe in and love (not in a touchy feely way, in a slap you on the back real hard 3 times when you hug just so you know it’s platonic kind of way) their pastor.
We talked about-what else? Money! I spoke on Developing a Financial Vision. Here are the 5 promises Holly and I have made to each other and to God. (Posted for the convenience of you lazy Elevator men who slept in 
and the rest of you lovely stevenfurtick.com regulars):
1. We will be absolutely free of consumer debt
2. We will not live paycheck to paycheck
3. We will pay God first
4. We will be better givers (You had to be there!)
We will make our money work
I shared an audacious goal with the men today that we’re going to measure in 4 weeks after the Freakonomics series. I can’t share it this publicly.
Again, you had to be there!
I think I’m going to restrict the ManUp breakfast to volunteer staff only next time. I want it to be as honest and candid as possible. And there are things I just have to say to the men who have got my back!!!
And trust me, when you plan on saying some of the things I plan on saying over the next 4 weeks you need some guys to have your back.
It’s time to see God set the people of Elevation Church financially free.
