Thoughts from Pastor Steven

Let’s see what the power of the blog can really accomplish.

My wife was showing me a few church members who have used their blog, MySpace, or just good old fashioned email to invite people to either the Egg Drop on Saturday or Easter at Elevation on Sunday.

My first thought was, “Wow. That’s cool.”
My second thought was, “What if we did intentionally what people are already doing randomly?”

I know I’ve already told you to invite your friends.
You should have already invited every friend, family member, and waitress within 20 miles of your house.
So I’m taking it up a notch.

Let’s drop a bomb on the city.

All of you who read this blog and attend Elevation, I want you to use whatever connections/platform you have to invite people to the Egg Drop and/or one of our Worship Experiences in the biggest and most creative ways you can think of.

If you have any presence whatsoever on the web, and you belong to our church, I want you to use it today. Like, right now, use it and tell people what’s going on at our church this weekend, and invite them to be a part.

Some just send emails to everyone. Here’s an evite if that helps.

Some have written letters to their entire neighborhood inviting them out.

Some have taken 100s of invites to local businesses that they have connections with and asked them to help get the word out in creative ways.
Some of you own the business. That should be easy.

I’m done giving you ideas, because you’ll think of better stuff than me.
If you need invites, or any other resources for your plan, email us through this blog, and we’ll help if we can.

I can’t wait to hear about the high school student, stay at home mom, or B.O.A. executive who blows all of our minds, and puts all of our expensive marketing to shame with some random guerrilla blitzkrieg idea.

Whatever you do, do it now.

Only 48 hours and counting until we rock this holiday like it’s 1999.

The Easter bunny won’t know what the freak hit him.
