Biggest attendance yet at Elevation today… over 2400 people worshipping at one of our two campuses!
It was as hot as Hell in the auditorium at Central. Not like the cuss word. Like the place. One of the AC units at the school was broken. I counted over 100 people fanning themselves with their worship guides in our 2nd service. It was like preaching at a tent revival. And today, of all days, I decided to wear a suit. I sweated like a hog, and 28 people gave their lives to Jesus.

Also, 268 people showed up for our Newcomers Lunch… yes, we ran out of pizza, and yes, people were standing and sitting on the floor all over the very hot high school cafeteria. But it was still pretty incredible. I love sticking around after Newcomers Lunch every two months and meeting the people God is bringing to Elevation. So many of them have had their lives changed dramatically in our church, and when they tell me their stories, it makes everything worthwhile.
God is building His Church!!! You’ve got to get to Charlotte and see it sometime.

Sometimes I like to share specific numbers on this blog so that we can boast in the Lord and reflect on how far God has brought us. We had more people at our Newcomers Lunch today than we had in our Easter services last year. Praise God for continuing to do more in our midst than we could ever take credit for.
This is a very special season at Elevation Church, and I will not take it for granted.
All glory to Jesus!
