Thoughts from Pastor Steven

We had our first Elevation Uptown preview service Sunday night. If the response and energy of our people Sunday night was any indication of what’s in store this Fall, things could get dangerous. We actually got in a little trouble with the police…we had “too many greeters” outside and they were “greeting too hard.” Yes.

We packed the house, man. They tell me around 800 people were there. (Clarification: most of these folks were Elevation regulars and volunteers, coming to get a sneak peak of the campus.)
One of the McGlohon Theater employees told our Ministries Director it was the largest event ever held at McGlohon. That made me happy.
I think it’s my favorite venue I’ve ever spoken in. Somehow, it felt incredibly large, like an arena, energy wise, and really small, like a club show, intimacy wise. Hard to explain. You’ll have to see it for yourself.

In the meantime, here are some pictures. This Uptown Campus is already a dream come true. And I don’t think I’ve ever felt this much excitement from our people about an initiative. Dominate.
