Today was a special day as Pastor Steven preached at the C3 conference at Fellowship Church in Dallas, Texas. This conference has been very influential in the history of our church, and for our Pastor to preach on the main stage just a few weeks after our 3 Year anniversary is truly incredible.
Pastor started by saying that he generally likes to be inspirational and encouraging at events like these, but today would be different as God had given him a challenging and prophetic message for the 2500 church leaders in attendance. Preaching from Matthew 13:53-58, he issued a strong call for our generation to restore a sense of honor back to the church. As a leader under 30, he challenged us to not get wrapped up in how cool we are or to think that Jesus is our homeboy, but rather humble ourselves and worship Christ as the ruling and reigning Son of God.
Pastor Steven also called us to honor the men of God we serve under, and honor those leaders who have paved the way so that our generation can go farther faster in advancing the gospel.
God’s blessing and activity seem to flow more readily where there’s a culture of honor. When you place value on the people above you, next to you and below you, you are creating the foundation of a culture of honor that will revolutionize your church.
