We Owe You One Faith Furtick

Well, I saw Pastor Steven in a robe this morning…
…and that can only mean one thing. It’s his birthday! Happy Birthday Pastor Steven. And we’re hijacking the blog today to show our gratitude.
(By the way, the robe? We’re at a conference in TX together and all of the team that made the trip decided to surprise him with a morning “Happy Birthday” serenade outside his hotel room bright and early. We didn’t expect him to poke his head like our friend the Groundhog and see his shadow, but he did, sorry about that.)
Any who, back to the point, you’d expect this to be a post about our fearless leader Pastor Steven. And as much as we appreciate him, we appreciate his mother more on this day. And like the 2-hour-old words of Pastor Ed Young when he pointed out he wouldn’t be a Christian without Jesus, we’d have no Pastor Steven without Faith Furtick.
Here’s to you, Ms. Faith, 3 things we love about you:
ONE: You’ve put Monck’s Corner on the map for the whole nation to see.
TWO: You’ve helped establish the term “gully-washin’ revival” as a church-planting buzzword.
THREE: You’re single-handedly responsible for providing the world with a godly man who is having a greater impact than any of us will ever know.
Happy birthday, once-removed (that doesn’t make any sense), Faith Furtick.
