I thoroughly enjoyed preaching about relationships of influence for the past few weeks at Elevation. Entourage was originally intended to be a low key series to round out the summer. It actually ended up to be insanely well attended and notably well received.

The series is over, but I don’t quite feel like we’ve touched home plate yet. I’ve got one more practical application, and I think all of you should give it a shot.
All of you.

If you were there, you’ll remember that I preached on 1 Samuel 14:7.
(Come on. Pretend like you remember.)
I brought up 6 of my guys who mean the world to me, and thanked them for giving me the go ahead.

Now I want you to follow my lead.
Before this day is over, pick someone who has forced you forward in your faith and write them a letter or email to say thanks.

A few tips:

1. Be specific about how the person has impacted you. Tell them some things that they’ve said or have done that have made you better in God.

2. Don’t try to be too poetic or perfect. You’ll never finish. Just write something, and turn in your rough draft. It’s usually better that way.

3. Don’t try to do 6. Just do 1. That’s all for now. Don’t try to write 5 pages. You can keep it short… it’s okay.
(I know how some of you are overachievers. Take it easy.)

4. Do it now.

5. I said now.
