I didn’t intend to compile a 3 part series on hearing from God. It just kind of happened. This will be the final installment. I think.

The most common way God speaks to me is by calling out my potential.
God spoke to Jeremiah this way (see Jeremiah 1:4-10.)
He spoke to Ezekiel’s potential as well (see Ezekiel 2:1-8.)
And Peter .
And Paul, and Timothy.
And countless others in the pages of Scripture, and throughout history.

When God speaks to your potential, it’s scary and exhilarating.
And God’s revelation of your potential is progressive. It usually starts with a burden about something that’s not as it should be in the world, followed by the crazy thought that maybe you could do something about it, accompanied by the courage to take the first step.

Ask God to shine His searchlight on your potential today. Ask Him to speak specifically to you about the greatness of the gifts He’s deposited inside of you, and the destiny He’s designed for you. Ask Him to speak life and vitality to your dead and dormant dreams.
He will respond by giving you impressions that line up with His Word, the affirmation of godly others, circumstances that present an opportunity to act, and a restless ambition to make a move.
